[29 Dec 2008|06:27pm] If I can be really tragic for a minute- so 2 or 3 posts back I mentioned my guinea pig being a bit poorly and having an eye problem. We've been giving him antibiotic eye drops & had to take him back to the vet for  follow up today. Anyway, upshot is that we're taking him in tomorrow for an operation on his eye- the likelihood being that they'll remove it. It's not a particularly risky op in itself; but guinea pigs are not great at coming round from anaesthesia, and although (apart from the eye) he's really healthy, he is an old man guinea pig at 6 and a half years old.
